Comparatives 使用する
私たちは、二人の人・物・場所・状況・行動を比べるために比較級を使います。比較級は、あるものがある性質についてより多く、より少なく、または同じ程度であることを示します：より背が高い、より面白い、より安くない、～と同じくらい速い。
比較級は、形容詞だけでなく副詞にも使われます。形容詞は名詞を説明し、副詞は動作や物事の起こり方を説明します。
My new laptop is lighter than my old one.

Comparatives フォーム
比較級は、形容詞や副詞によって異なる方法で作られます。短い語は通常-erを取り、長い語は通常moreを用い、より低い程度はしばしばlessで表されます。中には不規則な形もあります。
short adjective/adverb → word + -er + than
long adjective/adverb → more + word + than
lower degree → less + word + than
equal comparison → as + word + as

比較級の形容詞や副詞は、2つの人・物・行動を比べたり、時間の経過による変化を示したりするために使います。
This room is brighter than the kitchen.

通常、比較級の後にはthanを使います。
Her answer was more accurate than mine.

名詞を説明するには比較の形容詞を使い、動作を説明するには比較の副詞を使います。

より低い程度を示すには、less + 形容詞／副詞 + than を使います。

等しい比較には as + 形容詞／副詞 + as を、不等の比較には not as ... as を使います。as の後の形容詞や副詞は変えないでください。
