Superlatives kullanıyoruz

Bir gruptaki bir niteliğin en yüksek ya da en düşük derecesini tanımlamak için üstünlük derecelerini kullanırız. Bunlar, bir kişinin, şeyin ya da yerin diğerlerinin hepsinden öne çıktığını gösterir: en uzun, en ilginç, en iyi, en ucuz.

Genellikle üstünlük derecelerini üç veya daha fazla kişi ya da şeyi karşılaştırırken veya grubun bağlamdan açık olduğu durumlarda kullanırız.

Superlatives Form

En üstünlük dereceleri, sıfata bağlı olarak farklı şekillerde oluşturulur. Kısa sıfatlar genellikle -est ekini alırken, daha uzun sıfatlar genellikle the most ile kullanılır. Bazı biçimler düzensizdir.

short adjective → the + adjective + -est
long adjective → the most + adjective
opposite meaning → the least + adjective

Superlatives Kural

  • Genellikle üstünlük bildiren bir sıfattan önce the kullanırız.
    She is the smartest student in the class.
