First Conditional käytämme

Sitä käytetään, kun puhumme todellisesta tilanteesta tulevaisuudessa: jos ehto toteutuu, seuraa tulos.

First Conditional Sääntö

  • Osien järjestyksellä ei ole merkitystä.
    If the weather doesn’t improve, we’ll stay at home.
    We’ll stay at home if the weather doesn’t improve.
  • Jos ehtolause tulee ensin, laitamme sen perään pilkun.
    If you study, you will pass.
    You will pass if you study.
  • Päälausessa verbi “will” voidaan korvata modaaliverbeillä: can, might, may, should, must или be going to
