Possessives: my vs mine koristimo

Prisvojni oblici nam pomažu da kažemo kome nešto pripada. Ova tema upoređuje dve slične grupe: prisvojne determinatore ispred imenice i prisvojne zamenice, koje zamenjuju celu imeničku frazu.

This is my phone.

Possessives: my vs mine Форма

Prisvojni determinator uvek stoji ispred imenice: moj auto, njihova kuća. Prisvojna zamenica stoji samostalno i zamenjuje determinator + imenica: moj = moj auto, njihov = njihova kuća.

  • Koristi prisvojne determinatore ispred imenice da pokažeš kome nešto pripada.

    possessive determiner + noun

    This is my phone.
    Ovo je moj telefon.
    He is in his room.
    Он је у својој соби.
    Children brushed their teeth and went to bed.
    Deca su oprala zube i otišla na spavanje.
  • Nemojte koristiti a / an / the ispred prisvojnog determinatora. Prisvojni determinator već određuje imenicu.

  • Koristite prisvojne zamenice kada je imenica već jasna i ne morate da je ponavljate.

    My charger is black. Mine is black.

    Njena knjiga je stara. Njena je stara.
    I cannot find their house. I cannot find theirs.

  • Njegov ima isti oblik: njegov telefon i telefon je njegov. Ali njen i njen se razlikuju: njen telefon, ali telefon je njen.
    Is this his jacket? Yes, it is his.
    Da li je ovo njegova jakna? Da, njegova je.
    Is this her jacket? Yes, it is hers.

  • Koristite its za jednu stvar, organizaciju, mesto ili životinju kada ne naglašavate pol životinje. Koristite their za više osoba ili stvari.
    Holland is famous for its tulips.
    Holandija je poznata po svojim lalama.
    I have two dogs. Their names are Phil and Bard.

  • Its и it's су различити. Its означава припадност за ствар или животињу. It's = it is или it has.

  • Присвојне заменице не користе апострофе: yours, ours, theirs. Облици као што су your's, our's и their's су грешке.

Уобичајене грешке се дешавају када се присвојни детерминатор користи без именице, присвојна заменица користи испред именице, или се мешају парови као што су her / hers, your / yours и their / theirs.
