Present Simple се користи за описивање навика, општих истина, распореда и трајних стања.


  • Навике и свакодневне рутине
    I usually drink coffee in the morning.
    Obično pijem kafu ujutru.
  • Чињенице и опште истине
    Water boils at 100°C.
    Voda ključa na 100°C.
  • Распореди и редови вожње
    The train leaves at 8:30.
    Voz polazi u 8:30.
  • Трајне или дугорочне ситуације
    She works in a software company.
    Ona radi u jednoj softverskoj kompaniji.

Present Simple Форма

Subject + V1
He / She / It + V1(+s)

I work from home three days a week. She works from home three days a week.

Present Simple Правило

  • У трећем лицу једнине (he/she/it) додајемо -s или -es.
    He works in an office.
    She watches online courses.
  • Правописна правила за треће лице једнине:
    • глаголи који се завршавају на -o, -sh, -ch, -ss, -x → додаје се -es
      He goes to the gym.
      She washes the dishes.
    • глагол који се завршава на сугласник + y → y прелази у ies
      He studies English every day.
    • глагол који се завршава на самогласник + y → само се додаје -s
      She plays tennis on Sundays.
  • Прилози учесталости обично стоје испред главног глагола и иза глагола to be.
    I always check my email in the morning.
    She is often late for meetings.
  • Present Simple се често користи за распореде и редовне догађаје.
    The meeting starts at 10.
    Our team call takes place every Monday.
  • Неки глаголи (као know, like, love, hate, understand, believe) обично се не користе у трајним облицима.
    I know the answer.
    She likes this app.

Present Simple Негација

I / you / we / they do not (don’t) + V1
he / she / it does not (doesn’t) + V1

I don’t drink coffee in the evening.
He doesn’t check messages at night.

Present Simple Питања

  • Питања са да/не граде се помоћу помоћних глагола do и does.

    Do + I / you / we / they + V1?
    Does + he / she / it + V1?

    Do you work from home?
    Does she work on Sundays?
  • После does главни глагол стоји у основном облику (без -s).
    Does she work on Sundays?
    Does he play tennis?
  • Кратки одговори:
    Do you like coffee?
    — Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
    Does he study English?
    — Yes, he does. / No, he doesn’t.
  • Wh питања се граде уз упитну реч + do/does.

    Wh-word + do + I / you / we / they + V1?
    Wh-word + does + he / she / it + V1?

    Where do you work?
    Why does she get up early?
    When does the train leave?
  • Када је питање о субјекту, do/does се не користи.
    Who works in this office?
    Who lives here?
