Second Conditional เราใช้

เราพูดถึงสถานการณ์ในปัจจุบันหรืออนาคตที่เป็นจินตนาการ ไม่น่าเกิดขึ้น หรือไม่เป็นจริง และผลลัพธ์ที่อาจเกิดขึ้นของพวกมัน

Second Conditional รูปแบบ

if-part (Conditional)	main part Result
if + subject + Past Simple	subject + would + V1

If + subject + Past Simple, subject + would + V.
Subject + would + V + if + subject + Past Simple.

If it rained, I would stay at home.
ถ้าฝนตก ฉันจะอยู่บ้าน

Second Conditional กฎ

ลำดับของส่วนต่าง ๆ ไม่สำคัญ

If the weather didn’t improve, we would stay at home.

We would stay at home if the weather didn’t improve.
ถ้าส่วนเงื่อนไขอยู่ข้างหน้า เราจะใส่จุลภาคตามหลัง

If you studied, you would pass.

You would pass if you studied.
ในประโยคเงื่อนไข ใช้ were แทน was กับ I / he / she / it
If I were you, I would change jobs.
ถ้าฉันเป็นคุณ ฉันคงเปลี่ยนงานแล้ว

If he were taller, he would play basketball professionally.
ถ้าเขาตัวสูงกว่านี้ เขาคงจะเล่นบาสเกตบอลอย่างมืออาชีพ

If she were more patient, she would enjoy teaching.

If it were warmer today, we would go for a walk.

Second Conditional การปฏิเสธ

ในส่วนเงื่อนไข: Past Simple + didn't + V
If he didn't call, I would stay at home.
ถ้าเขาไม่โทรมา ฉันจะอยู่บ้าน
ในส่วนหลัก: wouldn't + V หรือรูปปฏิเสธของกริยาโมดอล
If it rained, we wouldn't go outside.
ถ้าฝนตก เราคงจะไม่ออกไปข้างนอก

If you tried more, you might not fail.
ถ้าคุณพยายามมากกว่านี้ คุณอาจจะไม่ล้มเหลว

Second Conditional คำถาม

คำถามถูกสร้างเหมือนคำถามทั่วไปที่ใช้ would เพียงแต่ยังคงมีอนุประโยคที่มี if อยู่

Would + subject + V1 + if + Past Simple?
Wh-word + would + subject + V1 + if + Past Simple?

What would you do if the app crashed?
คุณจะทำอย่างไรหากแอปล่ม?

Where would you live if you moved abroad?
ถ้าคุณย้ายไปอยู่ต่างประเทศ คุณจะเลือกไปอยู่ที่ไหน

Who would you invite if you organized a party?

Why would she be upset if you didn't write?

Second Conditional ข้อผิดพลาดทั่วไป

❌ If it will rain, we would cancel.

✅ If it rained, we would cancel.

❌ I wouldn't come if he won't call.

✅ I wouldn't come if he didn't call.

❌ Would в if-части: If he would call, …

✅ Past Simple в if-части: If he called, …

Second Conditional ประโยค

If you studied more, you would feel more confident.
ถ้าคุณเรียนมากกว่านี้ คุณก็จะรู้สึกมั่นใจมากขึ้น
