Third Conditional เราใช้

เรากำลังพูดถึงอดีตที่ไม่เกิดขึ้นจริง: เงื่อนไขไม่ได้เกิดขึ้น แต่เราอธิบายผลลัพธ์ในจินตนาการ

Third Conditional รูปแบบ

if-part (Conditional)	main part Result
if + subject + Past Perfect	subject + would have + V3

If + subject + Past Perfect, subject + would have + V3.
Subject + would have + V3 + if + subject + Past Perfect.

If it had rained, I would have stayed at home.
ถ้าฝนตก ผมคงจะอยู่บ้าน

Third Conditional กฎ

ลำดับของส่วนต่าง ๆ ไม่สำคัญ

If you had studied, you would have passed.

You would have passed if you had studied.
ถ้าส่วนเงื่อนไขอยู่ข้างหน้า เราจะใส่จุลภาคตามหลัง

If you had studied, you would have passed.

You would have passed if you had studied.
สามารถใช้กริยาโมดอลแทน would have ได้: could have, might have, should have
If it had been late, we might have taken a taxi.
ถ้ามันดึก เราอาจจะนั่งแท็กซี่

If you had prepared, you could have succeeded.
ถ้าคุณเตรียมตัวไว้ก่อน คุณก็น่าจะประสบความสำเร็จได้

If you had listened, you should have understood everything.
ถ้าคุณตั้งใจฟัง คุณก็ควรจะเข้าใจทุกอย่างแล้ว
สันธาน unless = if not (ในอดีต)
We wouldn’t have gone unless it had been necessary.
พวกเราคงจะไม่ไปถ้าไม่จำเป็นจริง ๆ
เงื่อนไขแบบผสม: เงื่อนไขในอดีต + ผลลัพธ์ในปัจจุบัน
If I had slept more, I would feel better now.
ถ้าฉันได้นอนมากกว่านี้ ตอนนี้ฉันก็คงจะรู้สึกดีกว่านี้

Third Conditional การปฏิเสธ

ในส่วน if: Past Perfect + hadn’t + V3
If he hadn’t called, I wouldn’t have gone.
ถ้าเขาไม่โทรมา ฉันก็คงไม่ไป
ในส่วนหลัก: wouldn't have + V3 หรือรูปปฏิเสธของกริยาโมดอล
If it had rained, we wouldn’t have gone outside.
ถ้าฝนตก เราคงไม่ได้ออกไปข้างนอก

If you had studied hard, you might not have failed.
ถ้าคุณตั้งใจเรียน คุณอาจจะไม่สอบตก

Third Conditional คำถาม

สร้างเช่นเดียวกับคำถามทั่วไปที่ใช้ would + have โดยยังคงมีอนุประโยคที่มี if (Past Perfect)

Would + subject + have + V3 + if + Past Perfect?
Wh-word + would + subject + have + V3 + if + Past Perfect?

What would you have done if the app had crashed?
คุณจะทำอย่างไรถ้าแอปเกิดล่มขึ้นมา?

Where would you have gone if you had moved abroad?
ถ้าคุณย้ายไปต่างประเทศ คุณคิดว่าจะไปอยู่ที่ไหน

Who would you have invited if you had organized a party?
คุณจะเชิญใครถ้าคุณเป็นคนจัดงานปาร์ตี้เอง

Why would she have been upset if you hadn’t written?

Third Conditional ข้อผิดพลาดทั่วไป

❌ If it would have rained, we would have canceled.

✅ If it had rained, we would have canceled.

❌ I wouldn’t have come if he wouldn’t have called.

✅ I wouldn’t have come if he hadn’t called.

❌ Past Simple в if-части: If he didn’t call, …

✅ Past Perfect в if-части: If he hadn’t called, …

Third Conditional ประโยค

If you had finished the report on time, we would have sent it yesterday.
ถ้าคุณทำรายงานเสร็จตรงเวลา เราก็คงส่งมันไปเมื่อวานนี้แล้ว

If he hadn’t been late, the meeting would have started on time.
ถ้าเขาไม่มาสาย การประชุมก็คงเริ่มตรงเวลาแล้ว

If the weather had been better, we would have had a picnic.
ถ้าอากาศดีกว่านี้ เราคงได้ไปปิกนิกกันแล้ว

If they had known the answer, they would have told us.
