Relative Clauses เราใช้

อนุประโยคสัมพันธ์เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของประโยคซับซ้อน และให้ข้อมูลสำคัญเกี่ยวกับบุคคลหรือสิ่งของ

อนุประโยคสัมพันธ์มีอยู่สองประเภท:

• อนุประโยคสัมพันธ์แบบกำหนดความหมาย ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ
• อนุประโยคสัมพันธ์แบบไม่จำกัดความหมาย ให้ข้อมูลเสริมที่ไม่จำเป็น

• ไม่แยกด้วยเครื่องหมายจุลภาค
• สรรพนามสัมพันธการ สามารถแทนด้วย “that”
  The teacher who helped me was very kind. The teacher that helped me was very kind.
  The laptop which I bought yesterday is expensive. The laptop that I bought yesterday is expensive.
• ในบางกรณี สรรพนามสัมพันธการก who / which / that สามารถละได้เมื่อทำหน้าที่เป็นกรรมของอนุประโยค
  The movie that we watched yesterday was amazing. The movie we watched yesterday was amazing.
  The person who I met at the conference was very friendly. The person I met at the conference was very friendly.
  The book which she recommended helped me a lot. The book she recommended helped me a lot.
• หลังจากคำว่า all, everything, nothing, something, anything, the only, the first, the last เรามักไม่ใช้ which หรือ who — โดยทั่วไปจะใช้ that แทน
  All that we need now is a little patience.

Non-defining Relative Clauses
