Hablamos de situaciones imaginarias, poco probables o irreales en el presente / futuro y sus posibles resultados.
Second Conditional Forma

El orden de las partes no cambia el significado

Si la parte condicional va primero, ponemos una coma después

Usamos were en lugar de was con I / he / she / it en expresiones condicionales

Podemos usar modales en lugar de would: could, might, should

La conjunción unless = if not
We wouldn’t go unless it were necessary.No iríamos a menos que fuera necesario.
Second Conditional Negación

En la parte condicional: Past Simple + didn't + V
If he didn't call, I would stay at home.Si él no llamara, me quedaría en casa.

En la parte principal: wouldn't + V o negación del modal
If it rained, we wouldn't go outside.Si lloviera, no saldríamos afuera.If you tried more, you might not fail.Si lo intentaras más, puede que no fallaras.
Second Conditional Preguntas
La pregunta se construye como una pregunta normal con would; solo queda la parte subordinada con if.
Would + subject + V1 + if + Past Simple?
