Las conjunciones conectan ideas: causa y efecto (because / so), contraste (but / although / despite), adición (and / as well as), secuencia y resultado.

Grupos principales de conjunciones

  • Causa → efecto: because (por qué) / so (como resultado).
  • Contraste: but, although (+ sujeto + verbo), despite / in spite of (+ sustantivo / V‑ing).
  • Adición: and, as well as (+ sustantivo / V‑ing).
  • Secuencia/tiempo: then, after that, before, while.
  • Propósito/resultado: so that, in order to / therefore, as a result.
We left early because it started to rain. So, we took a taxi.
