• 在单数可数名词前，我们通常需要一个限定词：例如，冠词（a/an/the）、物主限定词（my, your, his, her, our, their）、指示限定词（this, that），或其他限定词。

• 对于复数名词和不可数名词，我们不用a/an。当我们在泛指时，名词常常不加冠词。当我们指特定的事物时，常常用the。

• many / a few / few 与 可数名词连用，much / a little / little 与 不可数名词连用。在普通的肯定句中，a lot of / lots of 往往比 many / much 更自然。

• 有些名词既可以是可数名词，也可以是不可数名词。其含义会根据语境而变化。

• 有些名词看起来像复数名词，而且通常只以这种形式使用：裤子、剪刀、眼镜、双筒望远镜。要对它们进行计数时，我们常用一副。
